East Coast

This fall Dave and I headed out on a little holiday to the east coast. We had always talked about one day going and finally this fall we were like “lets just go!” So we did. I shot a wedding in Toronto and then from there we flew to Moncton. We spent the first part of the trip with wonderful friends seeing their place and visiting their cute little family. Then we headed off to do some sight seeing. We had limited time so we tried to pack in as much as we could. We did the Citadel in Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, Lunenberg, The ovens and graff point hike while in Nova Scotia. I was recommended to take hwy #3 and we are so glad we did. Such a gorgeous drive. If you ever go that way, for sure do this little tour. We saw so many beautiful things. Most places were closed for the season so we did a lot of outdoor hikes and a ton of driving and just enjoying the sites.

The last part of the trip we headed to PEI and stayed with the lovely http://www.blogbyrachel.com

The weather wasn’t the greatest…a little chilly and rainy but it was sooo worth it. We did Anne of Green Gables (of course), a few national parks and saw some incredible beaches and boardwalks. Plus the seafood was Amazing. Sooo super duper fresh. I loved everything in PEI. The people, the food, the countryside. It’s such a great little community. We were out checking out North Rustico one day and met up with a couple of old fishermen. Awesome accents and just plain old friendly folk. We chatted with them for a bit then went on our way. When we got back to Rachel we were telling her about this nice  man named Skipper we met. She was like “oh ya ..he’s my uncle lol” Such a small place and everyone knows everyone. Another thing we loved about PEI is how clean it was. There was no garbage anywhere. Tons of recycling and composting bins everywhere. Loved that!

Anyway so many great highlights. We are so glad we went. I’ll have another couple of posts about it eventually! You’ll have to see the vintage shoot we did with Rachel. I wanted to share some of the great landscapes we saw. If you’re interested any of these prints ARE for SALE!
